This is so sad.
Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston, died in the Bahamas on Friday, according to a statement released by Bahamas police.
Jett suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island during a family vacation, police said.
He was discovered unconscious in the bathroom around 10 a.m. by caretaker Jeff Michael Kathrain, according to police Chief Superintendent Basil Rahming.

An Associated Press report says Jett hit his head when he fell in the bathtub. He was pronounced dead at Rand Memorial Hospital, police said, and Rahming said an autopsy is being scheduled.
The family had arrived in the Bahamas on Dec. 30, according to police.
In a 2003 interview on the Montel Williams show, Preston said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome. "It causes swelling in the organs, so your heart can swell, different important organs can swell," she said. "We thought at one point we were going to lose him."

Travolta and Preston also have an eight-year-old daughter, Ella.
That's the sort of thing all parents live in fear of. Now that my kids are grown and are young adults, I can't do much about risk taking but fortunately for me, they are pretty intelligent people and don't do foolish things. In this case, it looks like his number was up. Nobody can do anything about that .
ReplyDeleteI can not imagine the pain.
ReplyDeleteEven the rich and famous have their pain. Nobody wants to outlive their kids.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog....
It is sad. But then then most deaths are sad, especially those of the young who have a life in front of them.
