New Years Eve Party
We are going to a party tonight. Oh, it's just two houses up from us, but it should be fun. I think this next year will be a strange one. New President (hummm), messed up government, wars all around, economy looking pretty sad. Well let us hope that it gets better, however I am not to optomistic. My main hope is for the safety of our military personnel who are still in harms way. I wish a Happy New Year to you all.

Remembering Ike
We are still doing cleanup around our house after Ike came through. It was a bad time for everyone who lives in my area. We didn't have any electricity for 11 days, and that was not nice. But we did find that we could hang in there though. At least we had hot water, which a lot of people did not. My Dad did a BBQ just about every day, and that was OK. It was nice to see how everyone in Houston helped out. We ran out of food and found out that one of the churches were giving out food, ice and water, so we went and they were so nice. They gave us three bags of ice a case of water and lots of food. I think we will be better prepared next year.

My Trip To Mexico This Summer
Well I got a free ticket to go to Playa del Carmen, Mexico this summer. My sister in laws mom invited me and my dad to go but my dad decided not to go but I sure didnt. Im really surprised he even let me leave the country without him! Our flight was early in the morning on August, 2. It was me my oldest brother Jason, his wife Brandie, there two kids, her parents, and her brother Austin and his best friend Jordan. We stayed at the Occidental Grand- Xcaret. It was really nice. Everything was outdoors. Our first day there we just relaxed and went to the beach. We went on the Fat Cat- Catermeran. It was fun, really hot though. I got to ride on the back of the boat holding on to the rope. Theres a club there where alot of people go to at night called The Disco. I was there pretty much every night. Everyone would dance and just hangout. I met alot of people from all over. Canada, England, Scotland, even Houston. Some of us still keep in touch. I miss Mexico and I definetly plan on going back.
